Lachie’s Walk 2026: Registrations now open

We're excited to invite you once again to Lachies Walk. Thank you to all of you who have already registered

Sunday, 9th August 2026
Mentone Grammar School – Enter via Venice Street
Walk begins at 9:00am (gates open from 8:00am)

Join us for a special 5km community walk along the beautiful Mentone foreshore – a heartfelt event to honour the life and spirit of Lachlan McLaren, who was tragically taken far too young. Together, we’ll celebrate Lachie’s legacy of kindness, connection and community.

☕️ Coffee van | 🌭 BBQ | 🎁 Raffle prizes and plenty of community spirit!

The Lachlan McLaren Foundation is incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we received at last years' Lachie’s Walk. Thanks to our amazing community, we raised an incredible $30,000 to support young people through local initiatives Team Sports 4 All and Fusion Mornington Peninsula.

This year your registration will again support

  • Team Sports 4 All – helping young people access the joy of team sport

  • Fusion Mornington Peninsula – supporting vulnerable youth and building connection

We know Lachie would be so proud of what this event has already achieved and what we can continue to do together.

Please wear RED for Lachie – his favourite colour, a symbol of love and unity.

A huge thank you to our major sponsor, Community Bank Parkdale, and Kingston Council for helping make this event possible.
